This is from a small vineyard block at the far end of “Jan Lui’s Field” near the entrance to the farm. It is a small section of the field that is entirely decomposed granite, ideal for red wine grapes. Petite Sirah is known for its intense colour and flavour as well as tannin and this wine is no exception. This wine has quite an complex bouquet of red fruit and violets, the palate is elegant, not jammy, with fairly robust tannins that should reward careful maturation.
